Magical Christmas Toy Drive Comes To An End

(WKRG) -- The Magical Christmas Toy Drive has come to a close for 2017. Volunteers showed up from Cumulus Media, Blount High School, Exit Realty and other organizations to help pack the toys and get them ready to drop off at the Salvation Army distribution center.

It took a little over an hour to pack up all the toys and bikes into four tractor trailers.

The Salvation Army will now sort the toys according to age and they will be delivered to the families sometime this week.

Seeing the amount of toys donated and the number of people coming out to help was enough to put everyone in the holiday spirit.

"It's just amazing what's being done here and what the kids get to see when they wake up and see these toys, the ones who weren't going to have anything. You know, it gets you kind of emotional, it's really amazing," says Tate Morris with Cumulus Media.
