What a sick, sad attitude.  I’m sure people who have lost a son or husband to suicide will be very comforted by your sick attitude.

So then… She is a crazy stupid idiot! She has no excue for doing what she did. Getting herself mauled and killed in front of kids is pretty selfish. I’m sick of people taking up for other people that don’t want to take responsibility for their own actions. Making excuses for morons can only be a moron doing it. Yeah! Example: “He had a bad childhood and his mommy was a crackwhore, so he shouldn’t be blamed for killing anyone” . Suck it World! Take the blame for what you do wrong and stupid. Don’t ask for help, just make everyone else feel sorry for you and terrorize innocent bystanders. Pathetic! Too bad the Polar bears didn’t just cuddle up with her, pet her and listen to all her problems .

No to assume stupidity is human nature, such as poohing in the woods is a bears nature.

OK in defense of the previous comments, please copy and paste the part of this story that says she was depressed and or mentally ill.  Because I missed it, therefore it would have been more appropriate for you to tell us the full story and then request we be nice or compassionate rather than scolding us.  Just my opinion.

Really, the attitude of people is sometimes so shameful.  If someone does something, you don’t always have to assume they are ‘stupid’.  Maybe they are in a very bad way and need help.

there was a followup news story.  This woman was in bad shape and did something deliberately to harm herself, in her confused mind that was the only thing she could do.  We had a family member kill himself in a similar way when he was suffering from dementia - don’t call sick people who try to hurt themselves ‘stupid’.  hey are suffering and need help and compassion, not to be called names by people with no compassion, no understanding and no caring for the most vulnerable of people.

You should be ashamed of yourself for saying such things about this woman.  The woman was depressed and suicidal.  She had lost her job and was at a point I hope you never get to.  She was very severely injured. 

This is not something to laugh at or make fun of, or call stupid.  When depressed and suicidal, people make very bad decisions and do things that harm themselves.  When people are mentally ill, they often do things that harm themselves and their thinking is distorted.  Many of the really sensational crimes and behavior reported on the internet are because people are not getting treatment for serious mental health problems.  Many are far too sick to seek out help.

What would possess a person to get into the polar bear habitat in the first place…during feeding time…ummm helllllooooo what kind of drugs was she on???
