A violent robbery attempt was caught on video. Surveillance pictures show a struggle between a jewelry store owner and a man twice his size.The Richardson, Texas jewelry store owner has a lot of security equipment in the store, 14 cameras and all customers have to be buzzed in to the store. But because of the way the men were dressed, the workers let them in and never suspected they were trying to rob them.
Owner Parashar Shukla has two broken toes and now walks with crutches.
Shukla says he was attacked when two men tried to rob the store on October 29th. Surveillance video shows the struggle. The first man was dressed in a suit and Shukla buzzed him past the security door, while he walked to the sales woman another man dressed in military fatigues comes to the door. He says he's a soldier recently back from Iraq and he wants to see rings.
Shukla buzzes him in too and helps the man. Never suspecting the two were working together to rob the store.
Both Shukla and his sales woman were attacked by the men. Shukla was able to pull away and hit the panic button. After realizing the alarm is activated, the men run out of the store, empty handed.
Police do not suspect the men in any other cases, but are worried they may try again.
