Guinness Book Of World Records Record Setter Could a feisty feline from Pensacola be the World's Smallest Cat?

We're waiting to hear if the World's Smallest Cat lives in Pensacola.

Bitsy is full grown and only weighs 1.5 pounds and is 6 and a half inches tall. The teeny tiny cat measures 18 and 3/4 inches from nose to tail. Auriette Lindsey says Bitsy could walk under the legs of her brothers and sisters legs when they were all kittens.

After Bitsy turned 1 in April, Lindsey decided to try for the record books. The current Guinness record holder is a 3-pounder from West Monroe, Louisiana. That cat is a little shorter than Bitsy but twice the weight.

Bitsy has some liver problems and walks a little crooked but is otherwise a normal cat. As you'll see from the video, Bitsy is feisty and attacks just about anything that gets close to her.

We'll let you know when Guinness makes its decision.

Bitsy looks like she has been hitting the catnip and she has the liver to prove it!

Poor little cat doesn’t look very healthy.
