Yes,but those crimes go “unreported,” by the media. I got flashed once by a white dude on Eliza Jordan!lol

That is correct RM, I previously lived in Hillsdale, never any problems, I currently work in Prichard & downtown, never any problems…

The only time my car has ever been broken into was in the parking lot of my old job in the Bruno’s shopping center at Airport & University. I caught the girl, and she wasn’t a hood rat, she was an affluent white student at University of Mobile!

Since it was a “typo” and not a slam on Mobile, again( I think you can see where it could be interpreted as such),then all is well. Yes, I do agree with increased LE,the potential for increased revenue goes up. I do however, feel that most crimes, are not random acts of violence-it is typically between people who know each other, have a grudge,or a bad attitude to begin with. I truly believe in the overall good of people.

What does all this have to do with this topic? I was reading the comments and everyone is talking about something else. This woman cut her husband with a box cutter. Its not asif she went into someones home and started going crazy. This can happen in any neighbor hood.

Yes, I meant Mobile.  I think I need to change the batteries in my keyboard.  Typical what?  I was simply responding to Patriots claim that increased law enforcement does not increase revenue.  I beleive that in the long term it does.  Do you not agree?

rolltide…I think you meant to say Mobile, not mon=bile, right? Unless you are back to your typical ways…

kx, I agree with you…I have no problem going into any area of Mobile or Prichard for that matter. My job takes me into some of the “most dreaded” places around. NEVER had a problem.I’m white, drive a very nice SUV and stick out like a sore thumb. But I am just as comfortable going to the hood as I am to West Mobile,or the country. As I said on an earlier thread, statistics are how you want to interpret them, and the reality is,that most crimes committed ANYWHERE, are not “random acts of violence.” jmho

Good people of Mobile:  the Police can not be everywhere and crime will continue until YOU the public become involved.

You can complain about it, hide from it, or meet it head on.

Carry a big stick!

I live in Crichton, and I have no problem shopping around here.

Crime fighting itself may not directly generate revenue and be considered an expense.  However, crime fighting does indirectly increase revenue in the long term by making mon=bile a more desirable place to live, start businesses and spend money.  The leadership in Mobile seems to be to focused on short term financial goals rather that ssetting long term goals and investing the money now in order to reap the benefits in the future.
