Bayou La Batre Hometown Tour Bayou La Batre hosts television crew as WKRG launches May hometown tours!

Fried shrimp, shrimp creole, and shrimp salad. The folks in Bayou La Batre extended to Mel Showers, Rose Ann Haven, Randy Patrick, and other members of the WKRG crew some good ole Southern Hospitality right along the bayou.
Mayor Stan Wright addressed the city's new ordinance on saggy pants during the live 6pm broadcast telling Showers, "Pull your pants up Mel!". After the broadcast, everyone feasted on a spread of genuine gulf coast seafood. Mayor Wright grabbed a large dish of oysters to demonstrate to Patrick how gulf coast seafood is eaten!!
