The wind creek casino gets cooking on more expansion. In a news conference today, casino officials announced plans to build a spa and cooking studio. Officials say this will provide more recreation opportunities for the area. The cook studio gives patrons the chance to try their hand at world class cooking. A professional chef will be their guide.

“We’re having a good time, doing the best we can at it and making sure that when they leave there they've accomplished and can go home and create it,” says Executive Chef Stafford DeCambra. Patrons also got to sample pieces of Chef DeCambra's work. The spa and cooking studio classroom open this summer. Casino officials say they've been so successful that they've hired 100 additional workers in the last two weeks.

OKAY, the badbfa never said anything about race. And I will always be friends with all mankind.

Same here BFA and I have Indian blood on both sides of my family. That’s why I said a while back to the fellow from Seattle that one side had about 300 years in Alabama and the other side many hundreds of years in Alabama and both sides are still feuding.LOL

bfa, i will always be your friend. i might not always agree with you. i never look at what race someone is when refering to friends. they are my friends period. you can trace where people were done wrong back to the bibical times. if we are all created equal, then lets all be treated equal.

I’m glad they are doing well and I might check it out one of these days.

I owe the Indians nothing other than respect I try to give to all but I do patronize their Casino and love their buffet, especially their 2 for 1 price. All Casinos will scalp you if you get carried away with your gambling.I believe some sort of small tax would be feasible, such as an entertainment tax or such since it would be paid by the customers anyway. You can’t go on trying to right wrongs did in the past forever. At some point you have to say, this is the end, welcome to the real world that we all live in!This should be the policy for all races or else we all would be entitled for past grievances against our ancestors.

rosepetal, let us talk peace. My words were spoken when rosepetal said “nobody owes the indians nothing”. badbfa believe treaties should be honored. Let us remain friends.

sorry barefootangel, its not right for this sort of business not to pay taxes. it generates a lot of revenue. what they do with it is their business. i believe they should pay taxes.

Sorry, rosepetal, that’s where you are wrong. The U.S. signed treaties with the Indians and they deserve everything in those treaties.

nobody owes the indians nothing. they should pay taxes just like everyone else.

I am very pleased to read about the classes also! I think they will help draw to the casino, and it will be good for the community.. THANK YOU
