BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - AAA Alabama reports the average pricefor a gallon of regular unleaded fell about 4 cents overnight.
The statewide average was $2.60 Tuesday.
The national average for regular was almost 3 cents higher.
AAA said the statewide average for midgrade and premium fuels
also fell to $2.72 and $2.79, respectively.
Birmingham had the highest metro average for regular at $2.68.
It was cheapest in Mobile at $2.51 a gallon.
The Energy Information Administration says the Gulf Coast had
the cheapest prices with an average of $2.46 a gallon.
