The Prichard Police Department is currently seeking information on the location of 19-year-old Jerome Davis Awudu and his younger brother (a juvenile) in reference to an attempted carjacking incident that occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. The incident occurred in the area of Dunlap Circle at Escambia Street. The subjects approached the victims and demanded their red 2007 Ford Expedition. The driver and his passenger engaged in a brief struggle with the would-be robbers. After which several shots were fired into the victim’s vehicle as they fled the area, but no one was struck by bullets. However the passenger sustained minor injuries as a result of the struggle. He was treated on the scene for his injuries.
The subjects are currently wanted for Robbery 1st Degree and Discharging a Firearm into a Vehicle. These subjects are considered armed and dangerous.
