Daphne police hope you can help them find this man. Willie Carstarphen is wanted for an August 4th armed robbery.

The manager of the Checkers on Highway 98 in Daphne was in the process of opening the restaurant. When she walked out to grab something from her car, police say Carstarphen walked up with a gun and demanded the daily deposit. The manager told him it was inside the restaurant so Carstarphen demanded all the money in her wallet. She gave him everything she had, which turned out to be less than $20.

Police have issued a warrant for Carstarphen's arrest. If you know where he is or how to find him, please call Daphne Police at 251.621.9100.

I think you hit the nail on the head ! He probably didn’t know if he had a $200 bill or a $20 bill, just money to buy some drugs with.

$20? Seems like that would not even be worth his time. What an idiot.
