DAPHNE, Alabama - Some people looking for jobs are looking to the Internet to advertise their services.Malcom Brazelton has posted his resume on Craigslist.
Brazelton said, "Its slow. Business is slow right now."
He's been looking for a job for nine months.
Brazelton said, "I worked for 22 years for Armstrong World Industries. That ended May 8th of 2009. The plant closed."
For now, Brazelton is keeping busy restoring a 1964 Fairlane.
He hopes to get a welding job, but he's looking for practically anything.
So that's why he's posted his resume on Craigslist.
Brazelton said Craigslist is "a good thing, Its really a good tool and its a great thing for someone to come up with."
But he knows he could face a tough road ahead.
Brazelton said, "You have to overcome being 54 years old."
In fact, Brazelton said he may have to part with his prize possession, the Fairlane, if he doesn't find a job soon.
He said, "Its dear to my heart, but, due to the situation of no job, its up for sale. And that goes to show you how dire the situation can be, because this is near to my heart."
