A Fairhope father fighting for his life is getting his Walt Disney World wish.Tim Lennicx fell terminally ill with brain cancer earlier this year. The Fairhope volunteer firefighter says he had always wanted to take his family on a trip, but could not afford to.
But thanks to a fundraiser led by the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department and a donation from Disney, the 40 year old father of three will now have that chance.
"Everybody just came together and helped me out and are sending us off to Disney World. We're actually leaving Saturday to go down there for Spring break, just to give them something to remember Daddy by,"Lennicx, Said.
The Fairhope firefighter will undergo chemo therapy when he gets back from his trip.
Donations are being accepted to help him with his medical expenses at Community Bank. Tthe account is under the Tim Lennicx relief fund.
