BayFest is giving fans the chance to vote for who they want to see at this year's musical festival in downtown Mobile.

The online poll includes a list of popular acts. Fans can also write in their top choices.

“We seek to bring in acts that reach a wide variety of tastes each year,” said BayFest President Bobby Bostwick. “We want to know who BayFest patrons want to see live and to give them an opportunity to be a bigger part of the event.”

BayFest can’t guarantee that all of the acts listed in the poll will perform at this year’s festival. But the poll results will be used to determine what acts are the most popular among BayFest fans and will be considered when booking acts.

The 15th Annual BayFest Music Festival is October 2-4. So far, Steve Miller Band, T-Pain, and Akon have all agreed to perform. More acts will be announced soon.

Is anyone interested in organizing a protest to stop the thug preformers from coming to Bayfest? If it’s done while I have time off I would be more than happy to participate.

BayFest promoters should be ashamed that they would bring these two vile, filthy individuals to preform “T-PAIN & AKON”.Every one should look up the lyrics to their songs, they are more than vile.
They promote drugs, every song has the N word in it several times, the songs also degrade women, they
denounce the police and Caucasians. I can’t imagine any parent allowing their child to attend this event. Here’s something for the NAACP to work on,work on these two thugs and get them to clean their music up and being a good example for black youth.
