Volunteers Needed To Help Build Habitat House

Alabama Mobile  Volunteers needed to help build a home for a single mother and her two-year old daughter who currently share a bedroom in a small garage apartment. No construction experience needed.

Volunteer Mobile is looking for volunteers to help build a Habitat for Humanity home for a single mother and her two-year old daughter who currently share a bedroom in a small garage apartment.

The Habitat project starts June 25. No construction experience is needed. Trained staff will be on site to teach volunteers everything you need to know.

Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteers to help build houses in partnership with people in need to ensure safe, decent, and affordable housing in our community.

That’s nice Mob1.  I think Habitat is a good organization providing homes to people who would otherwise not have one.  I am going to see what I might be able to accomplish for them.

Actually, I know the person who’s house is mentioned here. Yes, she is a single mother with a 2 yr old.
Now, please know this. She is not getting this house for free this I know. Also she has had to help build other houses for the last 6 months prior to her house being built. Granted it wasn’t 100 degrees but she has worked her but off to have this house built. It would be nice to see others now help her build her’s. Before, anyone says anything yes I plan to be out there helping her and he little girl.

Wow I can’t believe they want people to do this work for free….with the economy the way it is!!! Not to mention its 100 degrees outside…most folks don’t want to have to go to there paid jobs because of the heat…I guess there’s someone out there willing to help…
