MOBILE, Alabama - RB Brandon Ross ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns as the South Alabama Football Jaguars beat Hargrave Military Academy 30-13.
WR Courtney Smith goes down in the history books for scoring the Jag's first points: a 60 touchdown reception from QB Myles Gibbons.
South Alabama's defense gave up just 106 yards rushing while recording 5 quarterback sacks.

and.. last but not least, took two classes at Faulkner state so’s I’s be HIGHLY QUALIFIED (VERY good math department)! I was trying for most of the conferences.

Seriously, the staff at SOUTH is fantastic.

Kx, you crack me up. SOUTH has some of the best instructors I’ve had in my entire college career. Yes, I believe in the school and the athletic department. We have fine athletes and fantastic coaches and staff. I have cared about SOUTH since the first quarter I enrolled here in 1981. I consider this school my community and family. I have witnessed boosters, staff and employees envelope students in support and genuine caring. It is truly a pity you missed the close relationships available to any student who makes an effort. Bless your heart.

Kx, I certainly do not exceed the speed limits in this town (too many cops), on I65, Springhill AV. or at USA. It is fifteen minutes at 9.2 miles. Thanks. It was a suggestion since you seem to be concerned about your Craig’s list-find safety factor.

As for a stadium on campus, check back with us in five years. Some of us will try to refrain from saying, “I told you so.”

The rest of us will go to games, enjoy the atmosphere and cheap entertainment and gobble tailgate goodies with our loved ones.
