Malcom Christian has met plenty of unusual people during his time as a taxi driver, but he says the woman he picked up Wednesday morning seemed as normal as anyone.

"She was standing their waiting," said Christian. "She said the bank don't open for 21 minutes."

Police say Faith Sullivan, 55, called Christian from a hotel on the Beltline Service Road looking for a ride in his taxi. He picked her up and took her to the Compass Bank on Belair Boulevard where he waited outside for Sullivan to come back out.

"I was just sitting out in my cab thinking she was going out there cashing a check, but she wasn't cashing no check," he said.

Sullivan is accused of robbing the bank and using Christian's taxi as her get-away car. She's now in jail charged with robbery... But, Sullivan's mug shot taken Wednesday afternoon shows a much different woman than pictures News Five uncovered of the same robbery suspect just ten years ago.

According to the Air Force's Tops In Blue website, Sullivan is a proud alumni of the Air Force's elite band, and in 1981 she even snagged the George Rogers award, the top trophy for Air Force entertainers.

Once a performer in her prime, this bank robbery suspect is now facing the possibility of hard time.

i wonder if the police have ever thought of that. it could be an inside job. i saw alot of wrong things go on in that place while i was there. after i saw these thing i never trusted the ceo anymore.

tsb83 I understand about your aunt. People can’t control others actions & when a loved one commits a crime, that does not mean you don’t love them. It is a HUGE disappointment, embarrassment, & alot of badmouthing you have to take because of their mistake. The good thing is your aunt will get help, but it will be at the tax payers expense. You have to know how frustrating that is for us taxpayers. If I had a drug addiction & was fortunate to not be arrested & needed help myself, I or my family would have to pay out of pocket for that help. I constantly see people who don’t work & don’t want to, have a ton of kids, live in projects, get welfare and then their kids have kids & the whole cycle repeats because they feel the govt owes them. And then the ones who drive a Cadillac Escalade with 24’ rims & live in the projects. Drug dealer who pays no taxes. I do hope Faith gets help, but I also hope she is punished, pays it back, makes it known to Mobile area when that happens& is truly sorry

and one more thing, even though she did what she did, she is still my aunt! evidently u didn’t read my comment quite clearly! i hate that she swindled so many people! we as a family have tried to help her! it is in GOD"s hands now! i can’t change what she did! what’s done is done! and i still love her! yes, she has done something very wrong, again, I AM NOT PRAISING HER FOR WHAT SHE DID! SHE SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT SHE DID!!! she needs help!!! and i pray that she gets some!!! like i said it is in GOD’s hands!!!

well first of all sweet n sour, let me make myself clear! I AM NOT DEFENDING HER IN NO WAY!

well hell tsb83 my brother was just like her.  A smile on his face, a story. My brother was a looker and a player, I am a mother.  I paid for his funeral, I had a talky with him about the path he was taking.  He didn’t care, I loved my youngest brother, but I couldn’t stop him in life he had a mind that was on the fast lane.  But, I can love him after the fact, my son looks just like him and I paid to bury him.  That was the pact we had,  “I did it my way” If you can possibly make a difference, don’t defend them talk to them.  If it doesn’t work you tried.  I played only God knows why at my brothers funeral.  It has been Eights years and it still hurts.

We were one of the latest approached at Home Depot on Montlimar.Faith stated she needed money for her hotel before kicked her out with no place to go. Said she was getting an apartment but was in a hotel until then. She said everything was lost in Katrina. She never mentioned any family here or anywhere else. We gave her a ride back to her hotel, helped pay for her room and kind of felt good about it.Well, that was until the next day.I called to see how she was, gave her my number and asked her to call when she got her apartment to let me know she was ok.I got a call for more than that. She called at 10pm the next night, she needed $10 for the next night and asked me to bring it down to her.I said no and then she asked if she could come to my home and pick it up, strange.I said I would call in the morning and never did.Good thing she did not how to find my home, would she have robbed me?She needs help, maybe she will get it in jail.I plan on being in court when she is sentenced for this.

i know that what she did was wrong! i thank GOD that no one was hurt! u know people are sooooooooo judgemental these days! people don’t think about, what if it were them or someone in their family! it is sooooooooo easy to point the finger, laugh, and talk about my aunt, but deep down in me regardless of what she did or how she begged, she is still my aunt and i love her no matter what! i’m not justifying what she did, be cause i know she was wrong! i hate that she did what she did and that she swindled money from alot of people! but she has a problem! if u would have known her before she got on drugs, she was sooooooooo fun to be around and had everybody laughing and would do anything for u! so before u talk, think about if it were someone in your family or if it was you! all i ask is that u pray for my aunt and everyone else that has a drug addiction or any other problem! because i know i will!!!!!!!!

Poor me, I’m the victim, I want what you have, raised by a single mother & no father, blah, blah, blah….more sarcasm.  Look at Oprah and live and learn. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND QUIT HAVING A PITY PARTY! People like Faith ruin it for those that truly need help. I do try and help the less fortunate and I am not rich by any means. I am Catholic, tithe to church, in church every Sunday and try my best to live right. There are many things I do to help people out, but I try to do them in private because it defeats the purpose of why you do them. I will get my reward in the long run.

Wait4Me, I recognize and even appreciate your sarcasm, most of the dregs of society do have such an attitude.  They grow up being taught that society owes them, but this woman was once at the top.  Life was good to her and she had everything going for her.  We are all created with a void within us that can only be filled by our Creator and until we realize this, we are constantly seeking that which is a little better and more self-serving.  Was it her search that turned her to drugs?  Whatever started her downward spiral, she threw away so much.  Sometimes God has to let us take ourselves to the bottom before he can pick us up.  I sure hope her wasted life hasn’t been in vain.  Maybe her despair will help her find the Creator God who seeks her.

Wayne, I will tell you what I think made her this way, the government for not providing enough free money for the drugs, for not buying her a house to live in, for not paying off all her bills and for not generally supporting her for life like they should.  Don’t ya’ll understand if the government would just support us all and make sure we have everything we want we wouldn’t be depressed and turn to drugs, or be homeless, or need food, gas, clothes, and all the other things we WANT.  We are jelous of the rich people and companies and we should start making them pay more taxes to support us, why should they get everything, just because they worked hard and earned it, we should get our piece of the pie also. I tell you I for one can’t wait for OBAMA to get in office so we can just go to the local U.S. Government run stores and get all the free stuff we are ENTITLED to. (all the above comments are meant to be sarcasm, but some of you acctually believe this is the way it should be)
