A spokesperson for Prichard Police says a man was shot multiple times on Wilcox Road around 7:46 Thursday night. Then about forty-five minutes later a person was shot in the 300 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. When News 5 arrived at that scene investigators had taped off and were searching an open field at the corner of Dr. MLK and Coal St. Both victims were taken to USA Medical Center, no word on their conditions. Latoya Veal with the Prichard Police department says she hopes to be able to release more information about both shootings Friday morning.

I have a solution.  Since PEOPLE kill PEOPLE, let’s just outlaw people! Problem solved!

Please pardon my sarcasm. I am in total agreement with you about gun ownership and responsibility.

What needs to happen is the LAW needs to be enforced and ALL people that use guns for crimes need to be arrested and spend enormous time in jail.  Its no tthe LEGAL gun owners that commit these crimes its the ones that illegally carry weapons that do it.  LEGAL or law-abiding gun owners commit less than 1% of the gun crimes in the U.S.
We have laws in America, they just need to be enforced. WE do not need more control or restictions on LEGAL gun owners.

Just in! There is a bill in congress to the effect that since the constitution protects the right to own guns that bullets will be outlawed instead. That ought to cause a bit of head scratching. Even Superman ducks when the gun is thrown at him…
