Double Shooting In Housing Community

Shooting Arlington Street UPDATE: Mobile Police have arrested a 16-year old after they say he shot himself then another teen.

Mobile Police say they have arrested 16-year old James Grimes after they say he shot himself in the hand then shot another teen in the leg. Police say it happened around 8:15 Saturday night in the RV Taylor Housing Community.

According to MPD, Grimes got into an altercation with another 17-year old juvenile when he pulled out a gun and accidentally shot himself in the hand. He then shot the other teen in the leg. Both teens were taken to USA Medical Center.

Mobile Police say Grimes is being charged as an adult. He is currently booked into Mobile Metro Jail charged with assault.

Police are investigating a shooting that sent at least two people to the hospital. It happened just after 8 o'clock Saturday night on Arlington Street and Olive Court. Police tell News 5 the victims were taken to USA Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the hand and leg. No names have been released.

I only Wish that they could All be Kicked off of Government Assistance and have to EARN their living just like everyone Else! You would be Amazed at how many of them are not on “Welfare” (because, Quote “they make you go all over the city looking for a job”) so now, beside paying for them to have a “Quality” place to live (that includes we pay for their repairs-down to their light bulbs) “Utility” check, EBT cards, medicade,wic, free cell phone if you have an EBT card…..besides the more Kids you have….the more “Assistance” you receive, and I am sure I am missing somethings….....BUT if they had to WORK, they would be to Tired-like the rest of us to get into trouble!

it is sad how our kids are out of control. What happen to curfew and knowing where your kids are? Where are the parents to these kids? We need to pray for our kids and ask god to turn them from their evil ways. We as a people need to come together and help these lost souls. They don’t need to go to prison that only make them worse.We need to fix a sytem to where these kids can receive some can of counseling. Don’t you agree?

Ok. I know gun violence is not funny, but these kids are a joke. I think this is when the man upstairs takes the law into his own hands. Just had to chuckle when I saw when they shot themselves.

So much violence in this community. So many murders. So many armed robberies. Seems like these thugs have alot of anger built up. I say we lock them all up in Ladd Stadium, give them guns, and let them vent all of this anger without having innocent bystanders all around. Last one standing gets a free set of rims???
