Mobile police arrested two men they say lead them on a chase after trying to pawn stolen construction tools.

Around 11:00 a.m. Monday, police got a call from Cash America Pawn Shop on Springhill Avenue. They said two men were trying to pawn stolen tools. The men left before police arrived.

Officers spotted the suspects on St. Stephens Road at Andrews Street. But they refused to pull over.

During the chase, the driver stopped the car, got out and ran. He was captured after a short foot chase. The passenger slid over to the driver seat and hit the gas. The police chase continued until the second suspect got out of the vehicle on Clark Ave. at Owens Street and ran.

Police determined the tools were stolen from a home in the 200 block of Woodhill Drive.

24-year-old Tyree Carter is charged with burglary, resisting arrest, and eluding the police.

Gee did someone beat Eddie with an ugly stick?

This is a prime example of “dumb & dumber”

How do these ignorant humanoids function in society for so long.  I’m waiting to see how many prior arrests and releases they have had in the Mobile County catch and release program.

Perhaps the US can start a prisoner exchange program with China.  I understand they have a great youth in asia program.

Send a message? Look at those two and tell me what message you get? Hey you know it is what it is. Hold court in a high school gym you might get somewhere. Youth in Asia sends a good message. Better watch how the fortune cookie crumbles

Will they be charged with a felony?  They need to be charged with a felony to send a message.  Luckily no one was hurt while they tried to elude the police but it could have ended badly.

Kind of makes you want to wipe that smirk off his face. I know times are hard, but come on. Have these criminals figured out that they can track these things through pawn shops? That is a quick way to get caught.

Oh my! Another chase where the criminal element is caught????? Good job MPD! Keep rounding these thugs up!
