MOBILE, Alabama - (AP) - Police in Mobile say two Mobile County
students were arrested for bringing guns to school.
Police spokesman Cpl. Charles Bagsby says a 16-year-old Murphy
High School freshman and a 15-year-old Mobile County Training
School seventh-grader were charged with carrying a pistol without a
permit and were taken to Strickland Youth Center.
Mobile County public school spokeswoman Nancy Pierce says both
students have been suspended.
Bagsby said the Murphy student came to school Thursday with an
unloaded .22-caliber pistol in his backpack, and a fellow student
told an administrator who removed the 16-year-old from class and
found the gun.
Bagsby says the seventh-grader got into a fight at school and
pulled out a .25-caliber handgun, causing fellow students to
scatter. He says the pistol was not loaded.

I’m sure the “parents” taught them all the gun-handling skills they need to be successful in thug school.

I’m surprised at one school being Murphy, but zoning changed this year so all schools could have their share of wannabe thugs attending.

16 sure isn’t the same as it was a few years ago.  Now the middle teen wannabes have guns, drugs, a few thefts behind them, and a baby on the way.

OK, one is a 16 year old FRESHMAN and the other is a 15 year old SEVENTH GRADER! Obviously parents were not involved with either of these two youths.

“charged with carrying a pistol without a
permit”

why didn’t they just get permits? then they could legally carry them.

This is ridiculous kids bringing guns to school. Where in the *ell are they getting these guns from! Nowadays its like a piece of candy to them. When I was in middle and high school skipping was a big thing, we never even thought about freaking guns…
