Truck Gets Stuck In Bankhead Tunnel

The tunnel was closed for several hours this morning after an 18 wheeler got stuck inside of it. Mobile Police say the driver drove into the tunnel at around 5am this morning. Traffic was diverted to the George Wallace tunnel and Cochran bridge while crews worked to remove the truck.

Yes he will get a ticket. It was dark. There are lit signs, flashing lights and horns that all sound when the height sensors sense an over height truck. He will also loose his job. That is more stupid than rolling a truck on an off ramp.
