A trial date has been set for the preacher accused of killing his wife and then stuffing her body in a freezer.

Anthony Hopkins was in court for a brief hearing Monday morning. During the hearing, the judge set a trial date for October 19.

Hopkins was arrested June 28, 2008 after one of his eight children told the Child Advocacy Center that Hopkins killed her mother, Arletha, after she caught them having sex. Police found Arletha's body in a freezer at the couple's home on Rylands Street in Mobile. They believe she had been there for more than four years.

Hopkins is charged with murder, sexual abuse, rape, sodomy and incest.
