Travelers Concerned About Swine Flu

Travelers in our area are concerned about Swine Flu. The cruise manager at Springdale Travel in Mobile says she spent most of Monday fielding calls from people who are worried about upcoming trips to Mexico where there has been a Swine Flu outbreak, "we started getting phone calls first thing this morning, everyone's concerned about the outbreak in Mexico, whether or not the Carnival ships are going to be affected, right now with Carnival there has been no affected itinerary, no changes in itineraries," said Mendy Tanner with Springdale Travel. Federal health officials are now advising Americans not to go to Mexico unless it's absolutely necessary. Carnival Cruise Lines issued a statement Monday saying there have been no reported cases of Swine Flu on their ships or in any of the ports they visit in Mexico. The cruise line also says they are not making any adjustments to their itineraries at this time.
