Right. But shouldn’t someone at WKRG be proofing this before it gets posted on their website? Would you really just type a link into your story without making sure its the proper link?

So basically, it looks like it’s not the site itself, but probably some third-party ads that attempt to run malicious codes on your PC. Thereby making your personal and confidential information susceptible to theft.

What happened when Google visited this site?

Of the 4 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 4 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2008-12-07, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2008-12-07.

Malicious software includes 5 scripting exploit(s). Successful infection resulted in an average of 0 new processes on the target machine.

  Malicious software is hosted on 3 domain(s), including wowxman.com/, dbios.org/, yrwap.cn/.

I think it was probably improperly tagged as an attack site. It may have been due to the fact that they ask for a lot of personal information.

The message I got when clicking the link for salaried position read as follows:

“Reported Attack Site!
This web site at http://www.thyssenkruppnewusplant.com has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack sites try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.

Some attack sites intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.”

Should that cause concern with Thyseenkrupp? Or for WKRG for not checking the links they post???
