It's often difficult for children with life threatening illnesses to express their feelings about what they are going through. That's why local counselor, Linda Colclough, has created a special art therapy program just for them.

It's called CrossRhodes....it was created in memory of a young Mobile boy, named Rhodes Rayford, who passed away earlier this year.

If you would like to learn more about CrossRhodes Art Therapy Program, call (251)621-0118. There are locations in Mobile and Daphne.

I began painting when I was going through a difficult time a few years ago.  I am no artist but still today I enjoy it and find painting to be very theraputic.

I’d say 99% of the art students at south would agree that art is very theraputic.

One day, I’m going to paint a picture of this message board.
