Investigators say Joshua and Nicholas Gollnick and their friend David Logan could be the dumbest criminals they've ever busted. Detectives say the trio broke into an assisted living center and stole a medicine cart filled with prescription painkillers!

After stealing the medicine cart loaded with thousands of dollars worth of Lortab, the men drove off and popped a few pills, but they left a few clues on their joy ride home. Lieutenant David White of the Foley Police Department says, "the cups were spilling out as they left the facility. We followed the trail of cups to the offenders' residence and were able to close out this case pretty quickly."

Dozens of paper and plastic medicine cups spilled out of the getaway car, leading police straight to the men. All three men have been charged with first degree theft, a crime police say is worthy of honorable mention in the archives of the world's dumbest criminals. White says that they have seen a lot of stuff, but this case is classic.

The medicine cup paper trail sealed the trio's fate. Foley resident Helen Marshall says she is proud of how Foley police handled things and it makes her feel safe. That little trail of evidence that could put these men behind bars for years.

This was so funny the way these guys got caught.  These fellows must have been on drugs to do something so stupid.  It is not funny that they were high doing this.  Probably crack.

Mr. Seed I will be three years clean in October.  I thank God every day that I am clean and sober.  Without the state sending me to rehab I never would have gone and I thank God everyday for the judge that ordered me to go there.  Home of Grace is a Godly place.  I also have a very wonderful family that supported me through all this.  These people really need our prayers.

I tell you what, this is stupid, however, when you are that addicted to drugs, it takes over your mind and you have no common sense, I should know, I used to be an addict, but will be 2 years clean May 18th. It controls your life, thats all you think about. I agree with Shealeigh, they do need prayers and rehab, thats where they need to be, if the judge has mercy, he will send them to rehab under states orders, you can go there by the state, the counselors report to your probation officer. There were a few people there where i was at, who were there under a judges ruling, and they had to do everything or the judge would put them under the jail.

uhhhh dude look at all those little cup. stop that buthead and throw them out the window! uhh uhh dude it looks like it is snowing. uhh   cool buthead do it again uhh uhh ok uhh

Geez…..  I cannot imagine a group being so STUPID as to lead a path to their home.` `

They should book them for littering, too.

Is a theif anything like a thief?

Drugs really ruin peoples minds…once again this proves it.  I really believe that at least 90% of people are hooked on something even if it is prescribed to them…the whole world needs prayer and rehab.

“thiefs” is not a work. It’s “thieves”.
