The damage on Old Pascagoula Road is Mobile County's most expensive fix after the weekend storms.

The road looked more like an earthquake hit. The giant hole near the intersection of March Road in Theodore even swallowed up cars. One driver plowed right over the edge and another was left dangling on the top when Saturday's heavy rain blinded drivers.

The estimate is 50,000 dollars to fix the mess. Road crews are working on clearing the area. The county hopes to have a contractor on site by Friday and have the job done in 2 weeks. However, every rainy day will set them back a day.
