MOBILE, Alabama - The private investigator who cracked the high dollar antique case shares new details with News 5's Tiffany Craig.Max Hansen with Baldwin Legal Investigations was hired by one of the victims in the case involving Matt Walker.
Hansen says people have been dropping antiques off that they reportedly received from Walker-- and that is leading to more victims.
Hansen believes that Walker is involved in as many as 18 cases in which priceless family heirlooms were swiped from homes in Mobile and Baldwin counties.
So far, investigators can't place Walker at the scene but found many of the antiques at his homes in Mobile.
Hansen let us peek at poster boards with circles and arrows pointing to other cases and names that will ring familiar to high-society in Mobile.
Hansen says he is piecing together a web of crimes that's been going on for years. "The recovery of stolen properties linked to burglaries and thefts are merely just gonna be a scratch on the surface of what we suspect to be a pretty in-depth criminal activity and organization."
At this point, Walker has been charged with four counts of receiving stolen property. He is expected to be in court on November 23rd.
