21-year-old man to consecutive life terms for his part in a
December home invasion in which he stole a little boy's Christmas
presents.
Circuit Judge James Wood handed down the sentence Wednesday
after a jury found Brandon Whitfield guilty of burglary and
robbery.
Testimony showed Whitfield shoved a sawed-off shotgun in the
faces of Adrian and Brandy Harness at their north Mobile home three
days before Christmas last year.
The couple testified that they were bound with duct tape and
blindfolded and their 4-year-old son was bound with computer wire
as Whitfield and two accomplices tore open the presents under the
family Christmas tree before stealing the family's two automobiles.
