The Conecuh County man accused of killing two people after a reported fight over the Alabama-LSU football game got a drastically reduced bond in court.

He's accused of murdering Dennis and Donna Smith in November 2008 in Owassa. Williams' bond was reduced on Thursday from 2 million to 100,000 dollars.

Now, he's out of jail.

According to his defense lawyer John Furman, this is a clear case of self defense. "They were drunk as monkeys and they were armed to the teeth. They rolled up on this scene where my client and his girlfriend and another individual where and in a totally unprovoked manner began beating them."

Dennis Smith's brother Shannon Odom says there's no way it was self defense. He believes a cold blooded killer is now out on bond. "Dennis had his hand over his face when he was shot the first time. How can you be pointing a pistol when you're right handed if you're covering your face when you're shot? It hurts me so bad. I miss my brother. We were so close. All I want is justice and justice is not being served in Conecuh County."

Williams is expected to go to trial for the murders later this year.

Yea It is amazing what GREED will do to a person.. We found this out after my mother in laws extended illness and death when her sister decided that since she wasnt left anything in the will that she should be handed 50,000.00 for taking her back and forth to the doctor.We laughed in her face!!! This guy will pay for doing these things to his nieces in the long run I am a firm believer in what you sow you will surely reap !!

This brother is so upset, he has stolen the Smith’s youngest daughters inheritance and refuses to allow their only and baby daughter a place to live, money to survive on when he was the benficiary of the death benefits( I am sure to take care of Dennis’ children)! He also has sued the daughter in court for five hundred dollars and such a coward he didn’t show up! This was just last week too!!! Tears of joy or show?

“Drunk as monkeys…armed to the teeth…rolled up on the scene”? Where is this lawyer from? I hope he’s more respectful and professional in front of the jury and judge if he wants to be taken seriously.
