KX-vic-apparently you aren’t used to not having your way and the last word and cant accept the truth. You sounded like you are 10 years old in your comment, and you need to read what you post because you are the ignorant one who wrote “we live in china!” Well, I live in America where I have freedom of choice, and don’t want every right taken, that is unneccessary. If that were the case and you take everything that “could” possibly happen in life, you would never leave your home, or go anywhere, because you can find some type of possible harm in everything right? I was not bashing a cop, or saying cops control us. Now you can get out of an uproar ok, with all your quotes, and misquotes. Thanks. I still stand by my “opinion” and after all isn’t everyone entitled to their “opinion” without being jumped on!

Vic-if you would read what I posted, i didn’t state that cops controlled us, I was talking about passing a bill, and made a statement, that it, police wanted to pull somebody over, they too, need to obey the same laws. I’m not saying it’s ok to kill somebody while texting. I’m saying if you take texting, then you need to take smoking, and everything else. I do text when i drive, and those who judge me, i’m sure you do other things when you drive, but I agree, it could be dangerous, so can riding a bike down the street, but you are trying to make me sound like somebody that don’t care. I do care, but I don’t care about your rude comments.Tide Fan- I haven’t had a ticket since i’ve been driving and i’m not a cop basher, but know a few cops, who have turned out to be abusers, and abusers of the law…So, you must be a cop getting yourself in an uproar accusing me of bashing. You think this is a police state? How in the WORLD has a cop ever tried to control every aspect of your life??? I’ve never had a cop tell me what I could eat, what I could wear, where I could live, who I could talk to, what deity I could worship, what kinda car I could drive, what kinda coffee I can drink, or any thing else like that…
Even if you don’t like the police, this is China, this isn’t Cuba, this is the United States of America…The only person controlling your life is YOU.

Funny how this turned into a Cop bashing thread because the police have absolutely NOTHING to do with the drawing up of the law. Complain to your lawmakers for that. As for Ms. Nobamagrl, you are obviously a natural cop basher…whats wrong?? One too many tickets, couldnt bat your eyes enough or sweet talk your way out of one…some old cop inconvenience you by stopping you as you were late for work, write you that seatbelt ticket??? Well, if your house is ever burglarized, you get raped, robbed, assaulted, run over by a drunk driver, hit by a red light runner, or his by someone with no insurance….dont call the police..for as you say, they aint good for anything serious in your eyes. You wouldnt last half a minute in orange grove…if you are the save all, pick up a gun and badge missy,....show us how its done.

I rode in one of those cop car one time. I guess they will have to take out the on board computers because they do transfer text data.

I completely agree with you. I can’t stand cops who don’t abide by the laws they enforce. But not all are like that, and those are the only ones I’ll defend on something like this, ya know?

I agree totally if you do something wrong you should be punished, but you also have to practice what you preach.  If you see a cop speeding when he has not reason to (getting his kid to school) or if he is texting, doesn’t that make you think you can do the same thing. Why should anyone be treated different. 

I was taught right from wrong and punished for the wrong, but my mom and dad also practiced what they preached.
