Mobile police say they have three teens in custody after a late night shooting of a pizza delivery man. 50-year old Ngoc Dinh Nguyen was found shot to death Friday night on Brill Circle, that's near Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mobile Police say the three teens confessed to Nguyen's murder. Police have identified two of the suspects as 17-year old Marvin Davis and 16- year old Joshua James. A 15-year old suspect has not been identified because of his age. Davis and James are both in Metro Jail charged with murder and robbery. The 15-year old is at Strickland Youth Center. Police say Nguyen worked at the Domino's Pizza at a shopping center off of Dauphin Island Parkway. The case is still under investigation.

One local pizza chain pays drivers extra if they carry a gun.

Oh and not to rag on Wes again…but he did ask for it…If you read all the posts regarding this pondscum- or these pondscums rather- they plead guilty/confessed so the BS regarding proving guilt is a moot point in this story-is it not?  Regarding individual store policy or law for that matter, a permit makes it legal to carry a concealed weapon in vehicle or on person-so you may get fired for saving your life?  Guess Wes would rather get shot in this situation than disobey management? They do not have the authority to search your vehicle or person anytime anyway. And as far as law goes,I would rather be tried by twelve than carried by six any day. Mobile is a crime and thug ridden place.  Get a weapon, permit and practice. In this area, it most likely will save your life and don’t worry about what ignorant people like him say after the fact in these blogs…at least you will be alive to read it. People are killed for 5, even $10 these days-whatever you may have they will take.

Most employeers will not allow you to carry firearms while working from fear of being sued.  They could care less if you die over $20.  Pizza delivery drivers are not allowed to carry more than $20 cash on them.  Some of these guys are robbed for the pizza alone.  If I was a delivery driver I would carry, I’m not getting shot over $20 bucks and dayum pizza.  So what If I get fired, stores are begging for delivery drivers.  People have a false sense that justice will take care of everything and they will never act out again because they were in jail for a short time.  These thugs are heros when they get out of jail.  They are hardened that much more because they served time.  They will go straight back to the life that they left a few years ago.  It’s guys like these that ruin peoples lives and dont blink an eye about it.  So what, they do a few years and get back to the street with much more street respect than before.  They rob or kill again and low and behold the cycle never ends.

well, a few years back my bro-inlaw was regional manager for a pizza chain. his advice to his managers was , don’t ask don’t tell. some of those pizza guys do carry.

I dont know about Domino’s, but I do know Pizza Hut does not allow drivers to carry.

Perhaps Mr. Nguyen should have been carrying as he made his deliveries.

Maybe his employer prohibited him from doing so?  Many do.

Wes says “I believe that many people who carry guns have an inflated sense of invulnerability and cause as many problems as they prevent” Wes here are a few stats for you to look over. And no I DO NOT believe every citizen should carry a weapon. 1. Guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year—or about 6,850 times a day. This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives 2. Concealed carry laws have reduced murder and crime rates in the states that have enacted them. According to a comprehensive study which reviewed crime statistics in every county in the United States from 1977 to 1992, states which passed concealed carry laws reduced their rate of murder by 8.5%, rape by 5%, aggravated assault by 7% and robbery by 3%. 3. Armed citizens kill more crooks than do the police. Citizens shoot and kill at least twice as many criminals as police do every year (1,527 to 606)25. And readers of Newsweek learned that “only 2 percent of civilian shootings involved an innocent person mistakenly identified as a criminal. The ‘error rate’ for the police, however, was 11 percent, more than five times as high.”

Time for everyone to meet up at the O.K. Corral at High Noon!

I too carry a weapon. Yes, I have used it when I was attacked by four young men when I was a teen.

Wes, there are a few people you might want to thank for the right to post the way you feel. Like the minutemen, citizen soldier, Average Joe with his colt Peace Maker. Did you know you have the right as well as the duty to act as Police if need be, just not a Judge. Vigilante justice is not and has nothing to do with your right to defend yourself, fellow citizens or your Country. That is why we have the 2nd Amendment. I carry for the same reason as the police, To protect myself and serve if needed. If you think the average Joe has no right to help stand watch by the right to carry, you are wrong. I just hope it does not find you dead wrong like this pizza guy.  Wes, you post and feel any way you want, it is your right.  Just remember, the 2nd amendment protects all of your rights.
