They were charged with Burglary 3rd and Arson 1st Degree. The juvenile was released to a parent pending further investigation. The apartment was not occupied at the time of the Burglary.

There are still other variables to consider though.
Yeah, I agree with you on that. The number of crimes today compared to the 70s is up because of the population density.
The posts I was disagreeing with are ones like
“The crimes by juveniles seem worse now. ” when numbers indicate that the crime rate isn’t really changed. Even that statement you can somewhat justify… the thing I was disagreeing with was SouthernMama’s assertion that this generation is more criminal than the previous one.
“Yes, more people = more crime”
Wouldn’t that be synonymous with an increase?
I think I crossed you up with another poster over the course of our discussion.
I was initially responding to “But, the generation before mine was “beat” & it is nowhere near as bad as my generation.” from the other poster.
I agree that we have more crime. Never did say anything about worse. Crime is crime. There is no bad crime or good crime.
Yes, more people = more crime. It isn’t that people are worse, it is that there are more people! So more criminals and more everyday good citizens too.
Or the increase in crime!
Crime may be less per ca pita, but over all there is more!
But yes, jail crowding, for instance, is worse now than it was 30 years ago because the increase in jail space has not kept up with the increase in population.
I’m just confused that you insist crime rates are increasing when every available measure of crime says the opposite.
You stab at sarcasm is at best-LAME! But statistics can be manipulated to show favor in any desired direction. It’s not about me. You offended because I disagree.
