caring, if you want to read what the mother is going thru, go back and look at what devonsaunt posted. when our justice system starts defending those who can not speak and gets serious with repeat offenders then the voices that cry out for justice will cease.

I can not even imagine how the mother feels. But I believe only time and the Grace of God will help her to be able to cop.  I do not believe any amount of punishment to the other child would have truly helped her to get over her loss. I know from looking back at my own life that we have all made mistakes that if not by the Grace of God we could have been in this same situation either as a driver or a rider.  We all need to continue praying.

caring, no nothing will bring the victims back, but the little mother coming to court with the baby’s ashes under her arms would have liked to have seen justice. the district attorney’s office is suppose to defend the victims, be the voice of those who can not speak. in this case they failed.

We all can criticize the decisions that are made by the judges but, the truth is as parents we can do the very best that we can raising our children and they will still make bad choices just like you and I.  Nothing is going to bring the deceased back and nothing at this time is good enough punishment in some individuals opinion but I have to remind myself that if it was my child driving the vehicle what would I want the judge to do.  We all need to continue praying for both families.

4thekids. And you said a mouthfull. A revoked license does nothing at all. This girl was caught one month earlier speeding at over 100MPH. It taught her nothing. Or no one saw fit to punish her. Now is the time.

Her FREEDOM should’ve been revoked until she was 21 not her drivers license!!! How many people w/ revoked licenses are still out there driving-most of them!  pathetic judges we have here in Alabama!

tommy i agree, i think they did appeal it but the first judges sentence was upheld.  i will post the link to where you can read what devonsaunt said.

TO BE HONEST WHY DO YOU THINK THERE IS SO MUCH CRIME NOW WITH THE LAW ENFORCEMENT… THERE CROOKS….  I HAVE 6 CHILDREN AND I CAN JUST FELL HOW THE PARENT ARE FELLING RIGHT NOW..  TO THE PARENTS OF THE TWO   APEAL THIS… GET ANOTHER JUDGE… WAS THE JUDGE PAID OFF?

tommy, just pray. i do not think i could go thru the teenage driving thing again. i did not let my youngest son get his until he was 18, i did not think he was mature enough. our judicial system in this case did not serve justice.

I HAVE A TEENAGE SON THAT WILL BE GETTING HIS LEARNERS WITH IN A YEAR AND WHATS THIS TELL HIM?
KNOW MATTER WHAT I TELL HIM WHATS HE GOING TO THINK WHEN THE JUDGE JUST GIVES HER A SLAP ON THE HAND…..

I SAY PUT HER IN JAIL…. LET HER BE PUNISHED….
