The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office has arrested 16-year-old Ian Aitcheson and a friend for the murder of his father, Bob Aitcheson.

Aitcheson's charred body was found Wednesday among the ash and rubble of his Silverhill moblie home. The next day, police said Aitcheson was dead before the fire was started.

At a 11:00 a.m. news conference on Friday, police said Ian Aitcheson, 19-year-old Danny Weaver and another man went to the mobile home around 1:00 Wednesday morning with the intent of robbing and killing him. They say Bob Aitcheson was stabbed once with a large knife.

Robertsdale police have recovered two vehicles and a motorcycle that were stolen from Bob Aitcheson’s business in Gulf Shores.

Aitcheson and Weaver are charged with capital murder and arson. They will be in court Friday afternoon for a bond hearing. More arrests are expected.

tears0, yes i mentioned it. i wanted to know. most people work, own a business to have a nice place to live. does not mean it has to be a mansion.

Rosepetal mentions that this man owned a business and lived in a run-down trailer park. Are you serious? There’s more to it that that!! Just because he had his own business does not mean he should have lived lavishly or even made a lot of money.

I knew him. I went to school with him. We weren’t “friends” but we talked, had class together… I never thought he’d do something like this.

I went to church with these guys for many years. And Bobby made sure his kids were in church every time the door was opened. He did everything for the glory of God. He tried to be a father and a mother to these kids. I never once heard him complain about the circumstances and he was always trying to help someone. Bobby would have died if that’s what it took for his kids to find the Lord. I am deeply saddened that the world lost a wonderful man.

mustuknow: I knew her. But I knew her brother better. And it’s true that the trailer was foreclosed and was to be auctioned off. No one, that I know, actually lived in that home and the kids were of all ages between 16 and 19, but either way, rumor was actually true this time.

Does anyone know who did the stabbing? Noone deserves to kill another human being.  Just leave and never come back.

Wow. Ian has 5 seperate myspace accounts, one of which his name is “CONVICT”

I guess he’s proud of his actions.

Pink Panther:  Well said.  What do you know about this girl they have arrested now and charged with these crimes?  Do you know anything about who actually lived in the mobile home that the 3 boys were arrested at?  I understood the neighbor to say he never saw anyone there but 16 an 17 year old kids….  I’m just curiuos because I heard rumor that house had been foreclosed on and was being auctioned off in the next few days….

Honestly, it doesn’t matter what this man did, whether you’d like to call him horrible or amazing, it truly doesn’t matter either way. But I think that NO ONE under ANY circumstances has the right to take another life. Who is any one to judge when it’s someone’s time to go, other than God. I went to school with Ian, and I’ll go ahead and tell you, people are not always what they appear to be, so you shouldn’t be to quick to judge outer appearances. This man was his father, whether he was a good or bad one, I don’t know, but it is because of him that Ian was brought into this world, and perhaps he should have given that a little thought before taking his father’s life from him….

It’s so easy to defend ones self against a dead man. The son can make up all the stories he wants to now, because the father is not here to defend himself. If there is no prior record of abuse, it’s a far cry for a motive. That is unless he can get the same lawyer the Menendez used.
