Mobile County School teachers were putting the finishing touches on their classrooms today, Sunday, August 09, 2009. Some were spending their Sunday afternoon getting ready for the first day of school. We caught up with some educators at George Hall Elementary School. Teachers say this is one of the best times of the year.

“I enjoy the excitement kindergarten students bring a lot of them are so excited to be here for their first day of school they've watched their brothers and sisters come and they want to be a part of school too,” says Kindergarten teacher Cynthia Rider. Some teachers say their biggest challenge is getting kids back into the school routine after summer vacation. Both Mobile and Baldwin County public schools will start back tomorrow morning.
