GRAND BAY, Alabama - Grand Bay Middle School is dealing with the loss of one of their teachers. 34-year-old Louie Carvin was found dead in his submerged SUV Sunday at the end of the Ft. Morgan ferry dock. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office does not suspect foul play but they're still investigating what went wrong. Counselors will be on hand at Grand Bay Middle Tuesday to help students with the tragic news. Those who knew Carvin say he was the kind of teacher who made a difference in his student's lives,"when I think of Mr. Carvin, I'm always thinking of a high quality guy, high character guy, high moral guy, great family man, students love him. Mr.Carvin loves his kids, loves Grand Bay Middle School, such a tragic event that were dealing with," said Grand Bay Principal Wade Whitney. Carvin had been teaching 8th grade language arts at Grand Bay Middle for the last 3 years. We're told he is survived by his wife and their infant son.

I would just like to say to Nich-O-Las that you have excellent grammar! Your response was well written and everything was spelled correctly. You, as well as your parents, should be proud of the example that you have set. Good job!

God Bless his family, students, coworkers and friends.  This is a tragedy on so many levels.

I’m a student at Grand Bay Middle School and I don’t have Mr. Carvin as a teacher, but a lot of my friends do, and they love his class. He seemed like a really down to earth person. It’s really saddening to hear this news. May he rest in peace.
