The deadline for filing your income taxes is this Wednesday. Tax preparer H&R Block had a few Mobile locations open today to help last minute filers. The IRS estimates more than half a million Alabamians haven't filed their income taxes yet. H&R block officials say you have to be patient if you're filing this late. They say it takes at least an hour to do a return and don't forget all your paperwork.“Make sure they bring their mortgage statements, make sure they bring their all of their w-2's, make sure they bring all of their any types of receipts, or credits they are looking to achieve,” says H&R Block spokesman Nona Simmons. IRS offices in Mobile will be staying open until six Tuesday and Wednesday evening to help last minute tax payers.
