Carnival Cruise Lines has now cancelled all stops in Mexico through May 11 because of the swine flu outbreak. That includes two cruises leaving from Mobile next week.

The Holiday returned Thursday morning after a much talked about 4-day cruise. The ship stopped in Progreso, Mexico before the world had ever heard about swine flu. Before it got to Cozumel, Carnival decided to turn the ship around and head home to Mobile. Border patrol agents met passengers as they got off the ship looking for anyone with symptoms of swine flu.

The ship left the same day. But instead of going to Cozumel as originally planned, the ship is headed for Key West, Florida.

The next two cruises will make similar changes to the itinerary. On May 4, the Holiday will leave on a 5-day cruise with stops in Key West, Florida and Freeport, Bahams instead of Cozumel and Calica, Mexico.

Then on May 9th, the Holiday will head for the same two destinations instead of Progreso or Cozumel.
