worknmom-I agree with lovepeace-take the best precautions you can. More people are surviving the flu (both kinds) than dying. As to your daughter,I don’t think there has been a correlation between miscarriage and the flu.I think the pregnant women that have died from the flu though, have had underlying health issues-like diabetes,or heart problems. Looking at other sources,it “appears” that this 30 year old man may have had some chronic health problems, where he was immunocompromised. I wouldn’t worry too much, just be cautious and vigilent in prevention.

worknmom, I don’t blame you for worrying.  Make sure your babies wash their hands a lot and keep them far away from anyone with symptoms.  Either flu is more dangerous for kids with asthma.  And I hope things go well for you daughter this time!

My prayers go out to all of you.

Thousands of healthy people are getting it and recovering with no major complications, but I’d definitely be nervous if I had existing health problems.  Scary stuff.  But the regular flu isn’t isn’t so great either. I was in my mid-20s and in optimal health the last time I got the flu, and it knocked me on my butt.  Fever of 104, couldn’t even stand up, hurt to breath.  Not fun.

Still, I don’t think I’ll be getting the vaccine.  Not because I’m convinced that it’s a government plot to reduce the population, but because I’m terrified of new vaccines.  Anybody seen that Will Smith movie (I am Legend) where they gave everybody a miracle vaccine that accidentally wiped out most of humanity and turned everybody else into canabalistic zombies?  Hey, it could happen.  smile

this is really scary b/c both of my sons suffer with asthma.  my youngest suffers more, but they are both taking daily medication for it. their dr. said they MUST get the seasonal flu vaccine and strongly urges the H1N1 vaccine as well.  and i have a pregnant daughter who is terrified of getting sick b/c she has miscarried one baby already.  this is getting too close to home for me!  i pray daily for my kids and hope we get through this season with no illnesses!

i know a grand bay woman who died last week from swine flu. she also had ashtma.

33,000 people die every year from seasonal flu. Most of those cases which result in death are made possible due to an already weakend immune system , otherwise known as imunocompromised condition. Most people will run out and get this untested vaccine which is made in a lab along side the actual disease. This technique that is being used to reduce the global population , particularly in the united states and North America is actually an equation used by the global elite called ( Problem Reaction Solution Equation) The floks belonging to the International Monetary Fund, The Council on Foreign Realations, Bilderberg Group, The Trilatteral Commission, the Federal Reserve Bank, The bank of International Settlements, and the UN as well as the World Bank all have a vested interest in bringing down the American population to managible levels. By managible I mean its difficult to control a population that is fit and strong and still possesses firearms and is willing to protect their liberties and still has a desire for freedom! Ask any dictator of the past 100 years, if an unarmed population was easier to control. I posted before on Baxter getting the patents for swine vaccine 8 months before the outbreak. Here is a follow up on criminal Baxter & Novartis the makers of the Vaccine that will be forced on you.

My thoughts too worknmom. So far, I don’t think anyone has died that has not had an underlying health condition, other than pregnant women. And even that, I think most of them had health problems and were high risk pregnancies.

i wonder if he had underlying conditions, like asthma or something.  my prayers are with his family, too.

My prayers go out the family!
