
The death was one of four in Alabama announced Friday by the state Department of Public Health. The other three are a woman in her 30s and a man in his 60s from Montgomery County, and a man in his 40s from Calhoun County. Specimens showed all four victims tested positive for H1N1 influenza.
Previous swine flu deaths have occured in Bullock, Dale, Houston, Jackson, Jefferson, Macon, Madison, Montgomery, Russell and Talladega counties.
A total of 15 people have died in Alabama.
The first ever swine flu vaccine should be available next week.
