Copied from WPMI website:
June 14 - Orange Beach police have released the name of a man they believe raped a woman Friday night in Baldwin County’s Josephine community.
Police say Melchor Lemus Salto, 20, took the victim to a secluded spot off Baldwin County Road 95 in the Josephine Community near Elberta, struck her several times in the head and forced her to have sex with him.
Investigators say the woman was then dropped off at the BP service station in Miflin where witnesses helped her call police.
One witness says there was another woman in the car with Salto when the victim was dropped at the gas station.
Well some of the media outlets have IDed him now, but he has plenty time to make it to Mexico

The four basics of a story are WHO, WHAT, WHEN and WHERE. We have the WHAT,WHEN and WHERE but not the WHO. Bad reporting.
By posting on their website they see the comments that we are making. It is not like we are sitting on our couches mumbling to ourselves. The only other step would be to go and knock down the doors of the media stations. These postings are set up so that the community can voice their opinions on whatever matter we choose. Whether they take our comments to heart and actually change what we think they are doing wrong is not up to us. The only thing that we can do is let them know where we stand on the subject at hand. Sometimes the media has their sick ways of getting their ratings up or choose what they think needs to be reported.
So if the victim knew the attacker, why don’t we have a description so we can be aware and on the look out.
We talk about the drunk drivers, and stories such as this one, etc, perhaps our focus of anger should be with the media. They put in details that we don’t need to know (or post mug shots that maybe they shouldn’t) and then omit details that we need to know, like the description of the rapist.
Maybe we should inform the media about the coverage or non-coverage of stories that affect us. WE get mad about some stories that lean to the left or to the right, but do we actually complain to the media about their biased reporting? Food for thought.
Yeah at least give us an outline of what they look like. I mean if the victim knew the suspect than there should be a description. All they say is rapist on the run, which is going to lead people to believe that the suspect is still out there and capable of committing this crime again.
Agreed, alaoutlaw! If they know who it is, why not say so and enlist the help of the public in bring him in?
Police didn’t say if an arrest was made. Did anyone ask.How about an idenity ,should the public be concerned that a rapist may be on the loose?
