Suspect Still Loose But Manhunt Canceled

Alabama Fairhope After police chase officers from six different agencies had been looking for an armed man near the Coca Cola plant in Robertsdale.

-Suspect still loose, considered armed and dangerous.
-Active search called off.
-Undercover officers have been placed throughout the area to watch.
-People who were encouraged to leave being allowed to return home.


11:54 a.m.
- Central Christian School is under lockdown.
- The car was stolen from a used car lot in Mobile.
- Police are bringing in dogs to help in the search.

11:41 a.m.
What started as a police chase in Fairhope has turned into a manhunt for an armed suspect near the Coca Cola plant in Robertsdale.

The chase began on Highway 104. When the driver got to Robertsdale, he ditched the car and ran. Police from Fairhope, Robertsdale, Silverhill, Elberta, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office are all searching for the suspect on the ground. The Alabama State Troopers are searching by air.

Police say the suspect is armed and dangerous.

I posted this under another story but we live less then a mile from where the manhunt took place and it might have been easier to find him if the police had a good description from the start..we listened to the police scanner and they couldn’t agree on his description at any point….its much easier to find someone when you know what you are looking for….

He needs to watch out. According to some people the Police will run him over and watch him die.
