Jeffery Jones was *not* happy to see our news camera as he was being booked into Mobile Metro jail. Police say Jones robbed the Compass Bank on Bel Air Boulevard around 10:45 Thursday morning.

Investigators say he did *not* have a gun during the robbery but shoved a bank teller as he demanded money.

After the heist, police say he took off to an apartment complex near the intersection of Florida and Emogene Streets. He busted into an abandoned apartment and climbed into the attic. Police showed up on the scene and surrounded the complex.

Neighbors say he was trying to wiggle his way into an occupied apartment through the attic. In the process, he crashed through the ceiling. Jones is charged with bank robbery and is in jail tonight.

Yesterday, the Wachovia Bank on Government Boulevard was hit. After a short stand off with police, two men were arrested and charged with robbery.
