AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Students at Auburn University are planning a
protest over Tommy Tuberville's departure as football coach.
Planners say hundreds of students are expected to march from the
center of campus to the president's mansion on Tuesday. They say
Tuberville was wrongly forced out after 10 years that included an
defeated season and a conference championship.
An organizer of the demonstration, Taylor Jones, says many
people believe Tuberville was fired despite the university's claim
that he resigned. They're pointing to the school's agreement to pay
Tuberville more than $5 million he wouldn't have been due unless he
was fired.
A university spokeswoman says Auburn is standing by its
statement that Tuberville resigned.

“They say Tuberville was wrongly forced out after 10 years that included an defeated season and a conference championship.” -
- I think you meant an “undefeated season”?  Unless you’re saying this year was a defeated season smile

I have been a Auburn fan for a Long time and am highly upset about this whole thing I feel as if i am being Lied to by the university Tuberville is a good coach and his Team had a bad season key word there team

Hope more people Follow because Tuberville does not deserve this

That’s both funny and pathetic, a bunch of college students protesting the firing of a college football coach. Aren’t there more important issues to protest - especially if you are supposed to be the future leaders of America? What do you think of the story Bloomberg.com ran yesterday about how several American food makers and a few American shippers cause food meant for starving children in third world countries, to be delayed for months because they will not allow food to be distributed locally in those regions? They have special lobbyists in Washington who see to their monopoly over distribution and delivery of food for the starving. In the Bloomberg story the writer recounts how five children died one by one waiting for food that moved slowly from one warehouse to the other, one ship to the other while there was food available much closer in that region - but could not be delivered because of American food makers and shippers interests in making money off dead children.
