MOBILE, Alabama - Teani Parker treats her photo shoots at the Mobile County Animal Shelter like they are for the pages of a fashion magazine. She volunteers her time every week to take pictures of each animal after they are dropped off, for prospective owners to see on the shelter's website.Teani says, " It makes me feel good that I am helping these animals because there are so many of them. If I do anything to help save one, it's worth my time to come out here every week.”
Teani works with Kimberly Stanley with the shelter to get the animals in the perfect position for their close-ups. She uses professional lights, colorful backdrops, and creative props to make the dogs look their best. Stanley says Teani's professional photographs are making a difference. “We appreciate her more than we could say. She is good with the animals, good with everyone who works here. She does an excellent job getting these faces out there.”
