Storm Damage: Through The Roof!

Jackson Storm Damage  A burst of wind blew through Clarke County and peeled a roof off the National Guard Armory.

Storm damage at the National Guard Armory in Jackson, Alabama was through the roof on Thursday-- literally!

The roof on the building that houses the 778th Maintenance Company was ripped up after strong wind blew across Highway 69. To make matters worse, parts of that roof landed on a soldier's truck causing even more damage.

Specialist Blake Huie was outside when the rain starting falling sideways. "We were actually unloading the food truck and supply truck. When it started blowing sideways, there was a camper truck and when it picked it up and threw it into the dumpster, that's when we decided to come in."

No one was injured in Jackson but two people in Thomasville got quite a scare. They were headed down highway 43 and were hit by a falling tree limb. Both had minor injuries but are expected to be ok.
