Police searched wooded areas in Irvington and St. Elmo looking for any sign of a missing Bayou La Batre woman. Tammy Stokes disappeared more than 40 days ago. But, tips in the case led investigators to Louis Tillman and Webb Roads in St. Elmo Tuesday. Bayou La Batre Police suspect foul play in Stoke's disappearance but say this was not a body search. Stoke's mother just wants closure and to be able to tell her two grandchildren what happened to their mother, "they ask me is she in heaven and all I can tell them is mommy's lost," said Cherry Stokes. Investigators also searched the Cleveland Avenue area of Irvington. Police say that's the same road where the Green Ford Explorer that Tammy was last seen in was found back in May. It had been burned. Police say Tuesday's searches didn't turn up anything. If you have any information, you're asked to call Bayou La Batre Police or the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.
