State Health Dept. Testing 9 Samples For Swine Flu

Alabama Swine Flu  Lab workers at the Alabama Department of Public Health are testing nine samples from around the state including one from baldwin County for possible swine flu.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Lab workers at the Alabama Department of
Public Health are testing nine samples from around the state for
possible swine flu.
State Health Officer Donald Williamson said preliminary results
from the tests are expected by Wednesday. Any samples the state
suspects to be swine flu will then be sent to the Centers for
Disease Control for final confirmation.
Williamson said Tuesday that the health department will be
having daily briefings at 11 a.m. to inform the public about any
developments about swine flu.
There have been no cases reported in Alabama so far.

the CDCs web site says the test takes about 1 HOUR!!!!!  why believe any thing they say?
