One of the seven men charged in the calculated murders of Byrd and Melanie Billings is back in Florida.Donnie Stallworth, 28, was transferred Tuesday morning from a jail in Brewton, Ala. to Pensacola. Stallworth, who turned himself in to Alabama authorities in the days after the July 9 murders, fought the extradition.
Last week, Circuit Judge Bert Rice decided there was probable cause to hold Stallworth pending Governor Bob Riley's extradition order.
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan says Stallworth and six other men dressed like ninjas, rushed into the Billingses' Beulah, Florida home and shot the couple to death. The men allegedly stole a safe during the home invasion.
An eighth suspect, Pamela Long-Wiggins, is charged as an accessory after the crime. Investigators say the stolen safe was found buried in her backyard.
