Sprinklers Flood Probate Court, Documents Damaged

The New Year got off to a bad start for Mobile County Probate Court workers. The building on Government Street was flooded Friday morning by fire sprinklers.

Steve Huffman with Mobile Fire-Rescue tells News 5 that a sprinkler system on the roof went off around 6:00 a.m. Water ran down the side of the building and into an open window on the second floor, damaging documents.

The building, which houses everything from marriage licenses to voting records, was also flooded by fire sprinklers in September 2007. Millions of documents were damaged. Click here to see the story from 9/19/07

I agree…LOL mine owes me $13,000.

Wow, I would say if this would have happened in the child support enforcement division of the courthouse….my ex husband who owes me $40,000 was probably responsible for it.
